2019 Portland Winter Light Festival
Join us as we celebrate light, art and community
PGE is proud to sponsor the 4th annual Portland Winter Light Festival #PDXWLF2019, which runs Feb. 7 through 9, 2019. This free, family-friendly event celebrates light, innovation, creativity and community. Enjoy illuminated art installations, vibrant performances and more at several locations throughout Portland – including PGE headquarters at the World Trade Center, OMSI and more.
When you visit PDXWLF2019 at the World Trade Center (SW 1st & Salmon), be sure to also check out these special presentations:
- PGE and Mad Science present On the Grid, a fun, interactive performance about energy supply and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) careers associated with future energy needs. This high-energy show will spark the imagination and curiosity of audience participants as they learn about science and innovation, and how those skills are highly valued in the workplace. Shows will take place at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 8 and Feb. 9.
- This is the final month for Design Museum Portland’s Street Seats, an international design challenge that culminated in an outdoor design exhibition and walking tour around the World Trade Center plaza. Entrants designed sustainable outdoor sidewalk furniture with a focus on reuse, using environmentally-friendly materials and innovative construction methods. The fifteen entries embrace and enhance the vibrancy of downtown Portland.
Once again, the Festival is powered by PGE Green Future renewable power. PGE offers a variety of options to make it easy for you to choose clean renewable power. When you sign up for one of PGE’s Green Future options, you’re joining a community of more than 200,000 other PGE participants who are helping create a brighter and cleaner energy future.
