Rose Festival

PGE is proud to be one of the longest-running sponsors of the Portland Rose Festival, participating since its inception in 1907.

Each year, PGE volunteers head out onto the parade route of the PGE/SOLVE Starlight Parade to help keep the Festival one of the cleanest and greenest in the world. This time around, we've taken it a step further. Instead of trucks, our volunteers will use bikes to help distribute the trash bags used to clean up the parade route, eliminating vehicle emissions. And that’s not all. We will once again power the rides and booths at CityFair with PGE renewable energy. Plus for the first time ever, we’ll have an-all electric float for our Grand Floral Parade entry, further reducing our carbon footprint and helping make a happier planet.

Check out our fun parade float

Speaking of happy, watch for our “Play@#PGEparks” parade float which spotlights all the exciting ways you can stay and play at PGE parks and campgrounds. In addition to recreational opportunities, our parks help protect natural areas and provide cool learning opportunities — including our Junior Ranger program in which kids 5 years and up can earn a badge while exploring our parks.

You can see our parade entry in the PGE/SOLVE Starlight Parade on June 2 and again in the Grand Floral Parade on June 9.

Enter to win

While you’re visiting a PGE park or campground this summer, take a photo and share it via social media with #PGEparks, for a chance to win an overnight stay at one of our campgrounds and other fun prizes. Read the complete sweepstakes rules for eligibility criteria, prize information and dates.

2-for-1 entry to CityFair

Because we’re powering the Rose Festival’s CityFair with renewable energy, we’re providing a special coupon for 2-for-1 entry for our customers to enjoy entertainment, food, rides and more on Portland’s Waterfront Park.
